Purchase Information & Other Nitty-Gritty
Pricing & Shipping vs Pick-up: Painting prices generally range from $175 to $2000 and are priced as marked. As I lean gently into selling online, you'll notice for some items (like note cards, journals, and smaller paintings) the "shipped" price differs from the "pick up" price, in an effort to be as fair as possible. If you'd like to purchase right online, be sure to select the correct line item, so I know to ship or to arrange a pick-up. I do not offer free shipping. I'm not currently shipping internationally through my site - so if you're overseas, please message me directly. If you have any questions on this topic, don't hesitate to contact me!
Gouache: My gouache work is painted on 140 lb Arches watercolor paper or black watercolor or print paper and are usually matted showing a deckled edge within a hand-cut floating matte. My smaller work is finished in versatile "table-top or wall-hang" wooden frames. Larger pieces are framed simply in "graphite" colored metal frames. If a customer prefers a different frame, I'll either make that change or sell the work without the frame.
Acrylic: My acrylics are painted on gesso or clay boards. Some are framed in unstained wooden float frames with black inset; some are unframed. Many of my acrylics are painted on Ampersand "gessobord" with a 3/4" cradle, and can be framed, or hung as they are. I paint the image around the 1" edge of these pieces, so there is a greater sense of depth as the viewer passes the painting, so I prefer float-frames, rather than frames that cover the edges and part of the image. However, if you are passionate about having a frame, we can make that happen.
Commissions: While each painting is a one-of-a-kind original, I'm often willing to paint a piece again (in some cases, again and again and again!) So if a piece has been sold, and you'd like me to revisit it, just ask. There's a good chance we can work something out.
Upon request, I'm also willing to work from photographs you provide, if there's a special scene you're interested in having me paint.
